It specialises in high-variance visual data and has built-out offerings for retail, drones and aerial imagery, robotics, autonomous vehicles and precision agriculture, with enterprise security controls and an uptime SLA.
Why it's different
Its focus is narrower than the general-purpose labelling platforms, and the specialisation shows in video — annotating across frames with object tracking is a different problem from labelling stills, and tools that treat video as a pile of images make it enormously slower. The human-in-the-loop pipeline design is the other real strength, routing only the uncertain cases to people. The limitation is scope: if your data is text, audio or tabular, this is the wrong tool, and the pricing and onboarding assume an organisation with a serious annotation budget rather than a researcher with a dataset.
How people use it
It is used by teams whose model quality is bounded by labelling throughput — autonomous driving, industrial inspection, agricultural imaging. The workflow is usually a model pre-labelling, humans correcting rather than annotating from scratch, and the corrections feeding back into the next model version.
