The point is that it runs on your infrastructure rather than as a managed service, so the documents and data the agents work over never leave your environment.
Why it's different
Self-hosting is the whole argument, and it is a good one because most of this category is SaaS-only. A bank, a hospital or a law firm cannot ship customer data to a third-party agent platform, which rules out most of the market regardless of features — and the usual alternative is building it yourself from libraries, which is a project. Heym fills that gap. The costs are what self-hosting always costs: you run it, you upgrade it, you debug it at three in the morning, and you forgo the managed platforms' pace of improvement.
