About Make
What it is
Make is a visual automation platform. You build workflows by connecting modules on a canvas, with branches, loops, filters and error handling laid out as a diagram you can see and step through.
Why it's different
The canvas is the point: for anything with more than a couple of steps, seeing the whole flow beats reading a list, and it handles branching and iteration far more comfortably than simpler tools. It is generally cheaper per operation than the obvious alternative. The price is a steeper start. A first workflow takes longer to build here, and its integration catalogue, while large, is not the largest.
How people use it
Multi-step processes with conditions, like routing an enquiry differently depending on what it contains. Anything that loops over a list of records. Moving data between systems with transformation in the middle. Build the unhappy paths as you go, because a flow that silently fails at three in the morning is worse than no automation at all.
