Photoroom removes and replaces backgrounds in photographs, particularly product shots. It cuts the subject out automatically, generates or applies a new background, and can batch the same treatment across many images at once.
Why it's different
The cutout quality is what it is known for, and it handles the difficult edges — hair, fur, fine detail — better than most automatic tools, which is the whole job. Batch processing is the other reason it is used commercially, because doing this to four hundred listings is a different problem from doing it once.
