About Capitalise.ai
What it is
Capitalise.ai lets traders describe strategies in ordinary English — conditions, entries, exits, position sizing — then backtest them against historical data and run them automatically through a connected broker. No code is involved at any stage.
Why it's different
Plain English is a lower barrier than Coinrule's rule builder and considerably lower than writing a bot, and the built-in backtesting is the more responsible part of the product because it at least confronts a strategy with history before money. That said, the same warning belongs here as on anything in this category, plainly: automating a strategy does not make it a good one, most retail algorithmic trading loses money, and backtests systematically flatter strategies because they are fitted to the past they are tested against. Plain English also hides ambiguity — two readings of your own sentence can be two different strategies.
How people use it
The defensible use is discipline rather than edge: automatic stop-losses, taking profit at a predetermined level, and removing the in-the-moment decisions that cost retail traders most. Read back exactly how the platform interpreted your English before risking anything on it. Paper-trade first, use small size, and treat a good backtest as the weakest form of evidence rather than the strongest.
