Teal combines two things job hunters usually keep in separate places. A Chrome extension clips postings from LinkedIn and company career pages into a kanban tracker with stages, contacts and follow-up dates. The resume builder then scores your CV against any saved posting and names the keywords and phrasing it is missing, so each application is tailored rather than sent blind.
Why it's different
The match score is the useful part, and it is useful for an unglamorous reason: most applications are filtered by keyword before a person reads them, so a CV that does not echo the posting's language often loses to a worse candidate who did. Teal makes that gap visible. Two caveats. Matching keywords is not the same as being qualified, and a CV over-tuned to a filter reads badly to the human who eventually opens it. Most of what makes Teal worth using — unlimited tailoring, the better templates, the deeper analysis — is behind the paid tier, and the free version is closer to a demo than a tool.
How people use it
