About FlutterFlow
What it is
FlutterFlow builds applications visually on top of Flutter - two hundred-odd UI elements, visual logic, integrations and a live preview - and produces genuine Flutter source you can download, extend and publish to the app stores yourself.
Why it's different
Being built on a real framework rather than a proprietary runtime is what separates it from most app builders: the output is a Flutter project, so the exit is a codebase rather than a rewrite, and existing Flutter developers can pick it up without learning a new platform. It still inherits Flutter's own trade-offs, and once the logic gets genuinely complicated the visual editor becomes slower than typing. Most serious projects end up half visual and half code, which it supports.
How people use it
Cross-platform apps from a single build. Prototypes that need to become real products. Teams with design capacity but little mobile engineering. Export and read the generated code early, because discovering how it structures a project after six months of visual building is the expensive way to find out.
